Profi-Tipp
Soapwort looks especially attractive when it’s positioned where it can gently spill over an edge. Allowing it to soften the line of a path, step, or low wall lets its natural trailing habit develop fully and gives the plant a beautifully relaxed finish.
Richtig gießen
Water Saponaria regularly during its first few weeks in the ground to help it settle and establish strong roots. Once it has formed a steady mound of growth, water only when the soil becomes dry, as this Soapwort prefers conditions that are not constantly moist.
Richtig pflanzen
Choose a sunny spot and plant Saponaria in well-draining soil, setting it at the same depth it was growing in its pot. Allow around 25-30cm of space around the plant so it has room to form its natural low mound without competing with neighbouring plants.
