Produktbeschreibung
Strong Annabelle is a relatively compact Hydrangea with fully grown shrubs reaching up to 1.5m in height and spread. Boasting lush foliage and huge mophead flowers in a creamy shade of white, Strong Annabelle is a later cultivar of the popular Annabelle Hydrangea plants. As the name would suggest, this new variety features stronger, more robust stems that are capable of holding the heavy flowers upright, even after rain showers. While Annabelle’s flowers may flop over with weight, Strong Annabelle’s will remain supported in an upright position. Both varieties are very similar while offering a slightly different aesthetic.
These outdoor plants are relatively undemanding and easy to grow. Position the Hydrangea shrub in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. If required, dig some well-rotted organic matter into the soil to promote strong roots and water regularly until established. Prune annually after flowering to remove dead and damaged parts and maintain the plant’s neat size and shape. Spent flower heads can be left in place over winter to provide texture interest and help protect new buds from early spring frosts.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Profi-Tipp
Protect hydrangeas in winter by adding a thick layer of mulch around the base to insulate the roots. In colder climates, cover the plant with burlap or a frost blanket to shield it from freezing temperatures and harsh winds.
Richtig gießen
Water hydrangeas deeply, keeping the soil consistently moist, especially during dry periods. Avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal issues. Water at the base early in the morning or late in the evening, and mulch to help retain moisture.
Richtig pflanzen
Choose a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade, and well-draining, moist soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. Place the plant, backfill with soil, firm gently, and water well. Mulch around the base to retain moisture.
