A herbaceous perennial with beautiful, bright Summer colours. The Aster frikartii ‘Mönch’ is a relatively hardy and versatile perennial with mounding grey-green foliage sitting beneath sturdy, branching stems which hold contrasting, star-shaped flowers of soft lavender-pink with many narrow petals surrounding bright yellow centres.
Plant in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun. Grows well in any position. It is advised to keep some space between plants for air circulation. Slow to establish and requires consistent watering until then. Drought tolerant afterwards.
