Water Miscanthus regularly during its first growing season to help establish strong roots. Once established, it is drought‑tolerant, but occasional deep watering in prolonged dry periods will keep the foliage and flower plumes looking their best.

Plant Miscanthus in full sun and well‑drained soil, digging a hole twice the width of the root ball and the same depth as the pot. Position the crown level with the soil surface, backfill firmly, and water thoroughly. Space plants around 90cm apart to allow their clumps and flower plumes to develop fully.
