A fantastic dwarf variety of Zebra Grass, 'Little Zebra' features distinctive, bright golden-yellow horizontal bands striping across its narrow green leaves. Late in the season, it produces striking, reddish-purple flower plumes that mature to a fluffy, silvery-tan, offering excellent texture and movement in smaller gardens.
Plant this ornamental grass in full sun to ensure the striking variegation remains bold and distinct. It is highly adaptable and drought-tolerant once fully established; simply cut the old foliage back to a few inches above the ground before the fresh, banded blades shoot up in the spring.

For the Miscanthus, do not cut the dead, tan foliage down in the autumn; leave the entire architectural clump standing through the winter to provide spectacular visual interest, and then chop it down to the ground just before the new green shoots emerge.

Water Miscanthus regularly during its first growing season to help establish strong roots. Once established, it is drought‑tolerant, but occasional deep watering in prolonged dry periods will keep the foliage and flower plumes looking their best.
