Produktbeschreibung
Often called Bowman's Root, Gillenia trifoliata is a spectacular, shrub-like herbaceous perennial that provides visual interest for three seasons. It smothers its distinct reddish stems in a cloud of delicate, starry white flowers in summer, before the fresh green foliage turns a blazing, fiery red and orange colour in the autumn.
Settle the woody crown into deep, rich loam on the edge of a woodland border where it receives partial, dappled sunlight. It is notoriously slow to establish and actively resents root disturbance; you must be incredibly patient during its first year, keeping it consistently moist while it builds its permanent underground network.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Profi-Tipp
Be incredibly patient with Gillenia trifoliata during its first year in the ground, as it often looks completely inactive while it focuses all its energy on building a massive root system.
Richtig gießen
Provide consistent, even hydration to help the roots of Gillenia trifoliata settle comfortably into their permanent home. While it becomes quite drought-tolerant with age, regular watering ensures the delicate white flowers and fresh green foliage perform at their absolute peak. Never let the earth turn into a stagnant, soggy puddle that suffocates the roots.
Richtig pflanzen
Settle Gillenia trifoliata into a spot with partial to light shade and deep, rich loam. Take your time carefully positioning the woody crown, as it is notoriously slow to establish and actively resents being disturbed once planted. Give it plenty of room to slowly widen into its mature, permanent shrub-like structure.
