This variety demands a spot with partial shade and thrives in standard, well-balanced garden loam. Keep the soil evenly damp and direct your watering can strictly at the base of the stems to keep the delicate foliage completely dry and free from powdery mildew.

If you spot those winding white lines, ruthlessly cut the affected leaves all the way back to the base. The crown will quickly push out a fresh, pristine flush of bluish-green growth to replace them.

Check the ground periodically, providing a deep soak only when the top layer feels noticeably dry to the touch.
