A perennial plant with attractive divided foliage which contrasts nicely beneath the rich flower colour. The Anemone ‘Prinz Heinrich’ is a variety of Japanese Anemone which are known to be vigorous rhizomatous plants, though are reasonably compact and will not grow beyond their space. This herbaceous perennial boasts deep green foliage which grows in clumps beneath upright stems carrying single to semi-double flower of rich, deep pink which soften to a more faded colour as the seasons progress. The blooms hold uneven petals and will provide a very natural look to garden displays.
Plant in moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun. Grows well in any position with some sun, though frost and wind protection are advised, especially for more open areas. Avoid heavy, retentive soils and waterlogged regions as this can cause root damage or flagging and drooping of the stems.
